Why I’m Running – Bringing Cecil County’s Voice to Annapolis
Too often, decisions that impact Cecil County are made in Annapolis without truly listening to the people who live here. When Port Deposit spoke out against a state park, their voice was ignored. When the county raised concerns about industrial solar projects and zoning, the state pushed ahead anyway. When farmers asked for fair laws, they were given legislation that made their work harder, not easier.
That is not representation. That is politics as usual.
District 35B is the only delegate district made up entirely of Cecil County communities. While other districts span multiple counties, this one is uniquely and completely ours. That means our voice should carry real weight in Annapolis.
I have my own beliefs, but my responsibility is not to speak for myself. It is to represent the people of Cecil County. When the majority of residents or the well-being of our communities point in a clear direction, that is the course I will take.
I’m running because decisions that shape our communities should start here, with the people who live here. I believe in returning to a government that listens, respects local control, and serves the will of the people. District 35B deserves a delegate who stands up, works with others, and never forgets who they serve: the people of Cecil County.
