Every September, the historic town of Port Deposit transforms into a pirate haven for the Port Deposit Pirate Takeover. This year’s festival brought families, friends, and visitors together for a weekend filled with live entertainment, artisan vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, and community spirit.
From pirates and mermaids to magicians, aerialists, and games for all ages, the event showcased the creativity and resilience of our community. Local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers worked hand in hand to create a weekend that not only entertained but also boosted the town’s economy and strengthened community pride.
Events like this remind us of what makes Cecil County strong. When neighbors come together to celebrate and support local businesses, we build the kind of community that is worth protecting and investing in.
