I attended the North East Community Back to School Kick Off at North East Elementary, where families, students, teachers, and community partners came together to get ready for the school year ahead.
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, children excited for the upcoming first day of school, and parents connecting with staff and local organizations. Education is one of the strongest investments we can make in Cecil County’s future, and events like this show the importance of supporting our students from the very start, as well as the staff who teach, encourage, and walk alongside families every step of the way. I am grateful to the organizers, volunteers, and educators who made the Back to School Kick Off such a success.
At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: for Cecil County’s children to be safe, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed.
