On August 5, I joined neighbors at North East’s National Night Out, a nationwide event that connects communities with the first responders who keep them safe.
It was an honor to speak with the men and women who show up in some of the hardest moments of our lives. With every conversation, I gain a deeper respect for the quiet courage it takes to serve as a helper and a hero. Thank you to the Town of North East, the North East Police Department, and the North East Fire Department for hosting such a meaningful evening, and to the many community organizations who came out to support, connect, and encourage one another. We need more moments like this to remind us of the strength we share as neighbors.
