I attended the School Board meeting where Dr. Hammer, Dr. Foy, and Dr. Johnson presented the latest MCAP results and the strategy to raise them. The presentation covered current performance and the steps schools are taking to support students.
This matters because families deserve clear information about student learning and how our schools plan to improve. Strong communication and steady follow-through help students, teachers, and parents work together.
Teacher Union President and teacher Lori Hrinko encouraged the audience and greater community to volunteer at schools. Thank you to the presenters and to Ms. Hrinko for the invitation to get involved. I’ve signed up to work with our local elementary school!
