I attended the FY27 Budget Hearing where County Executive Streight and his administration listened as residents shared priorities for the coming year.
Many speakers asked to continue strong funding for our school system and thanked the County Executive for keeping his word for funding schools in FY26 above Maintenance of Effort. Others voiced support for our library system and public parks. A few residents urged reduced school funding, and several raised concerns about rising costs and asked the administration to consider relief options.
