I visited Farm Fest at the Rehert Farm in Port Deposit, hosted by the Cecil County Land Trust and Cecil County Arts Alliance. This free community event highlighted both the importance of farmland preservation and the creative spirit of our local arts community. From walking trails and artisan vendors to Plein Air painting and live music by The Sunset Riders, Farm Fest was a day full of connection, creativity, and local pride.
Events like this remind us why our farms, history, and rural spaces are central to the character of Cecil County. They provide food, jobs, open space, and gathering places that bring neighbors together while telling an important story. Supporting agriculture and local business is at the heart of keeping our county strong.
A big thank-you to the organizers, vendors, and families who made Farm Fest such a memorable celebration of our people and our land.
