I attended the public permit meeting with the Maryland Department of the Environment where the Aquacon water discharge permit was discussed and community input was shared.
MDE stated that stricter revisions to the current permit are under review. Aquacon’s attorney welcomed the more stringent conditions and answered questions, noting a desire to work with the community. Attendees who provided contact information will be notified when a decision is made.
