Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Community Program and Breakfast

I attended a community program and breakfast honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The reflections centered on responsibility, integrity, and moving toward justice together, even when it is difficult. The message was clear: progress is built through service, listening, and the courage to show up for one another.

The takeaway for our community is living the dream in daily ways at home, in our neighborhoods, and in public life, while lifting the next generation to carry the work forward.

Thank you to Wright’s AME Church, the Elkton Colored School Museum & Cultural Center, Five Rivers Church, Restored Praise & Worship Ministry, Rev. Ricardo Burns, keynote speaker Mr. Laurence Mixon, and everyone who helped make this inspiring gathering possible.
